Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her professional career began in Mexico, where she starred in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood with roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's performance as Frida the painter in Frida (2002), which she also co-produced was what was what made Hayek the first Mexican actress to win the Academy Award [6]. The film also brought her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
