Aspen Ladd was 14 when she started to take part in the combat sports. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd was unable to reach her weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. When she next faced Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she had in any major role. Ladd took home the fight of the night bonus after both fighters fought a fierce fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of UFC on ESPN 7. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
