Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on the 22nd of November 1985 New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her ability to act across different genres such as historical dramas, thrillers and action films. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Her twin brother Hunter as well as her mother were her youngest siblings. As a child she was able to begin performing. In fact, by 7 years old, she had already auditioned for commercials in a variety of different ways. Her interest in acting grew quickly and she enrolled immediately to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Johansson then appeared as a character in Just Cause, but she first made an appearance in Manny & Lo, a film about siblings left behind by their parents who run away. Her next film won praise for her performance as a teenage girl who had a life-threatening accident The Horse Whisperer (1998) as well as further recognition as cynical teen outcast Rebecca in Ghost World (2001).
